My sister's birthday was last week so I thought something that matched her gorgeous eyes would be a perfect present. The necklace isn't quite as pretty as her eyes...but it turned out ok!!

Watchband 101

I finished them! My interchangeable watchbands that is. Had to take the first one apart and tweak a few things, but all in all they were fun.

Feel like a celebrity!

Many celebrities wear costume jewelry and it is enjoying a huge revival due to the originality of many designs. Some of today's celebrities who favor costume jewelry are Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Diane Keaton, Tina Turner, Madonna, Prince (hey don't kill the messenger), Demi Moore, Courtney Love and Nicolette Sheridan. Oh! And You!!

Tonight I will be working on my first interchangeable watch band. I am excited to see how it turns out. I have picked some gorgeous red, black, and silver beads for my band and think it is going to come together rockin' style! Check back in a few days for a picture and let me know what you think.

Steampunk is for me!

I recently discovered Etsy...hello?? Why didn't anybody tell me sooner? (Thanks Star for cluing me in!)
Joined a team for Steampunk. Love the mix of victorian and modern edgy-ness. Going to try and find some time to make ME a necklace Steampunk style!

No making fun...I am a newbie after all. I just learned about interchangeable bracelet watches and I can't wait to try one. If anybody has any hints, do share!

Did you know that in Asia people have ingested pearls for years. Sometimes whole, sometimes crushed...they are taken for various maladies. Although pearls do have calcium carbonate it is a pretty expensive antacid. Besides pearls are so much prettier in earrings, no?
