Bead cages
Just learned a quick new trick to make my own bead cages. I like the way they look and it is such an easy way to dress up a bead!

Watchband
I have made several of the interchangeable watchbands and each one I think is my favorite. This navy and silver (see left) is so sleek and modern. C'est chic!!

Natural Elements
I love the look of wood with metal, somewhat industrial, but still warm. Adding the zig-zag beads makes it even more stylin'!

City Different
I am lucky to live in Santa Fe where there is so much inspiration for beautiful design! I am inspired by everything from the incredibly luxurious pieces, to ethnic designs. I am learning from some of the best!

I want...I want
So I seen this GORGEOUS necklace made from flower shaped beads that were layered one on top of another and then connected to what looks like memory wire. These were not beads painted like flowers...they were formed like a flower, looks like they were possibly gemstone and they were not beaded onto the wire but sat on top. Does anybody have any clue what I am talking about and if so where do I find them? I want!!

Goddess Eyes
My sister's birthday was last week so I thought something that matched her gorgeous eyes would be a perfect present. The necklace isn't quite as pretty as her eyes...but it turned out ok!!

Watchband 101
I finished them! My interchangeable watchbands that is. Had to take the first one apart and tweak a few things, but all in all they were fun.

Feel like a celebrity!
Many celebrities wear costume jewelry and it is enjoying a huge revival due to the originality of many designs. Some of today's celebrities who favor costume jewelry are Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Diane Keaton, Tina Turner, Madonna, Prince (hey don't kill the messenger), Demi Moore, Courtney Love and Nicolette Sheridan. Oh! And You!!

Life without jewelry is just no fun!
Welcome to my new blog where my purpose it to share my craft and hear your thoughts. The history of jewelry is as diverse as human history itself and the two have intertwined for thousands of years. Jewelry is how we demonstrate who we are and how we perceive ourselves. Jewelry doesn't have to be expensive in order to make a statement...it just needs a little attitude! Check back to see our ever changing designs and ideas...and who knows...you might just find something that speaks to you.
